All set prices for small & medium dogs are based on a dog with a reasonable coat condition and of average weight and size for its breed . Dogs with severely matted coats , larger than breed average, or very difficult to handle dogs are charged as extra, and will be estimated on arrival.

Prices for larger breeds will be estimated on request, based on coat condition, density of coat, size , weight, style required, and ease of handling.
Examples of pricing structure for large dogs:
If we take for example a one year old golden retriever, named Jake weighing in at around 25 kilos.He comes into my salon every few weeks in a natural silky coat. He is of an average size and weight, and is groomed regularly, and he comes in to be bathed & has a high velocity dry to remove dead coat & to reduce shedding all over the carpet!!!...he is then brushed out and trimmed up and has his nails trimmed

Then we take for example a golden retriever I used to groom just once a year, in the UKcalled Meg, who was 11years old. Her owner was unable to groom her as she had arthritus in her wrists. Meg gained a few extra pounds as she got older, and she had been spayed, which tends to make the hair grow very thick, woolly and curly. Meg was extremely heavy, at around 50kilos, and because she couldnt stand for long periods of time, (arthritus) she had to be rested in between .Her coat was very thick and retained the dead hair, that had not been brushed out regularly during her moulting, which can take a long time to remove. The coat was very dense, but the dead coat had to be removed before I could clip her into her desired style and she took a very long time to dry too!

I took 4 full carrier bags of dead undercoat in one session, (which I saved to show her owner)and my whole salon was covered in soft undercoat like a blanket of snow,so please please please don't be offended when I try to explain, why it is so difficult to estimate a price over the phone!
